55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256L.03, subdivision 1, is amended to read:​
77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Covered health services.(a) "Covered health services" means the health​
88 1.8services reimbursed under chapter 256B, with the exception of special education services,​
99 1.9home care nursing services, nonemergency medical transportation services, personal care​
1010 1.10assistance and case management services, community first services and supports under​
1111 1.11section 256B.85, behavioral health home services under section 256B.0757, housing​
1212 1.12stabilization services under section 256B.051, and nursing home or intermediate care facilities​
1313 1.13services.​
1414 1.14 (b) Public funds must not be used for coverage of abortion under MinnesotaCare except​
1515 1.15when the life of the female would be endangered or substantial and irreversible impairment​
1616 1.16of a major bodily function would result if the fetus were carried to term, or when the​
1717 1.17pregnancy is the result of rape or incest.​
1818 1.18 (b) (c) Covered health services shall be expanded as provided in this section.​
1919 1.19 (c) (d) For the purposes of covered health services under this section, "child" means an​
2020 1.20individual younger than 19 years of age.​
