| 5 | 5 | | 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: |

| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256L.03, subdivision 1, is amended to read: |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7 Subdivision 1.Covered health services.(a) "Covered health services" means the health |

| 8 | 8 | | 1.8services reimbursed under chapter 256B, with the exception of special education services, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1.9home care nursing services, nonemergency medical transportation services, personal care |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10assistance and case management services, community first services and supports under |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11section 256B.85, behavioral health home services under section 256B.0757, housing |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 1.12stabilization services under section 256B.051, and nursing home or intermediate care facilities |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 1.13services. |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 1.14 (b) Public funds must not be used for coverage of abortion under MinnesotaCare except |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 1.15when the life of the female would be endangered or substantial and irreversible impairment |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 1.16of a major bodily function would result if the fetus were carried to term, or when the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 1.17pregnancy is the result of rape or incest. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 1.18 (b) (c) Covered health services shall be expanded as provided in this section. |

| 19 | 19 | | 1.19 (c) (d) For the purposes of covered health services under this section, "child" means an |
