77 1.7 (a) $....... in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
88 1.8of natural resources to work with the Minnesota Geospatial Information Office to develop:​
99 1.9 (1) a water availability atlas that uses existing data sets to quantify the availability of​
1010 1.10water across the state; and​
1111 1.11 (2) a methodology that can be used by state agencies, local governments, and other​
1212 1.12economic development authorities to determine appropriate siting for large water users and​
1313 1.13businesses.​
1414 1.14 (b) By January 15, 2028, the commissioner must submit the atlas and methodology​
1515 1.15developed under paragraph (a) to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative​
1616 1.16committees and divisions with jurisdiction over environment and natural resources and​
1717 1.17employment and economic development and must make them available to the entities​
1818 1.18described in paragraph (a), clause (2).​
1919 1.19 (c) The appropriation in this section is onetime.​
