                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money to Girls Rock for worker​
1.3 training.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. GIRLS ROCK; APPROPRIATION.​
1.6 $350,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $350,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
1.7workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development​
1.8for a grant to Girls Rock, a nonprofit, to train local workers. Grant money may be used for​
1.9training and support services, programming, administrative support, capacity building,​
1.10technical assistance, job readiness, and placement. Of this amount, up to ten percent may​
1.11be used by Girls Rock for administrative costs. This appropriation is onetime and available​
1.12until June 30, 2027.​
