1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the WonderTrek Children's
1.3 Museum in the city of Baxter.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. WONDERTREK CHILDREN'S MUSEUM; APPROPRIATION.
1.6 $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to WonderTrek Children's Museum,
1.8a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to design, construct, equip, and furnish capital
1.9improvements to phase I of a nine-acre children's museum campus in the city of Baxter.
1.10This appropriation includes money for site improvements, infrastructure, landscaping, a
1.112,400 square foot year-round indoor-outdoor classroom, four acres of nature play exhibits
1.12and environments, and outdoor recreation activities and education. This appropriation is
1.13available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section
1.1416A.642. This is a onetime appropriation.
1.15 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
