1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for an interchange at Interstate
1.3 Highway 35 and 400th Street in the city of North Branch.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. INTERCHANGE AT INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AND 400TH STREET,
1.6NORTH BRANCH; APPROPRIATION.
1.7 $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.8of transportation for a grant to the city of North Branch for predesign, design, and
1.9right-of-way acquisition to construct an interchange at Interstate Highway 35 and 400th
1.10Street in the city of North Branch. This appropriation is available after the commissioner
1.11of management and budget determines that sufficient resources have been committed from
1.12nonstate sources to complete the project. This is a onetime appropriation and is available
1.13until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
