1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to agriculture; creating the State Agricultural Society public safety account 1.3 in the agricultural fund; instituting a 30 cent surcharge on State Agricultural Society 1.4 admission tickets; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 1.5 37. 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7 Section 1. [37.135] STATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY PUBLIC SAFETY 1.8ACCOUNT; APPROPRIATION; FEES. 1.9 Subdivision 1.Establishment; appropriation.A State Agricultural Society public 1.10safety account is established in the agricultural fund. Money in the account, including 1.11interest, is appropriated to the board of managers of the State Agricultural Society for grants 1.12to the cities of Falcon Heights and St. Paul to provide: 1.13 (1) public safety services, such as police, fire, and emergency medical responses; 1.14 (2) public works expenses for traffic management and sanitation; and 1.15 (3) neighborhood cleanup and restoration efforts. 1.16 Subd. 2.Fees.The board of managers of the State Agricultural Society shall charge a 1.17supplementary 30 cent fee on each admission ticket.
