1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to agriculture; appropriating money for the AGRI works and AGRI support
1.3 grant programs.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; AGRI WORKS AND AGRI SUPPORT.
1.6 (a) $490,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $490,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.7the general fund to the commissioner of agriculture to award grants under the AGRI works
1.8program. Agriculture-related institutions and nonprofits may apply for grants up to $20,000.
1.9Grantees must submit their most recent tax documents and complete an application in the
1.10form and manner prescribed by the commissioner to be eligible for grants under this
1.11appropriation. These are onetime appropriations.
1.12 (b) $490,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $490,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.13the general fund to the commissioner of agriculture to award grants under the AGRI support
1.14program. Agriculture-related institutions and nonprofits may apply for grants over $20,000
1.15but not more than $200,000. Grantees must submit their most recent tax documents and
1.16complete an application in the form and manner prescribed by the commissioner to be
1.17eligible for grants under this appropriation. These are onetime appropriations.
