| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7of veterans affairs to provide a grant to the United Heroes League, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit |

| 8 | 8 | | 1.8organization. The grant recipient must use the grant money to make capital improvements |

| 9 | 9 | | 1.9to the organization's campus in Hastings, Minnesota, that will directly benefit current service |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10members, veterans, and their dependents. By January 15, 2027, the commissioner of veterans |

| 11 | 11 | | 1.11affairs must report to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees |

| 12 | 12 | | 1.12with jurisdiction over veterans regarding the uses of grant money, including any amount |

| 13 | 13 | | 1.13used for grant administration. The report must be filed with the Legislative Reference Library |

| 14 | 14 | | 1.14in compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 3.195. As a condition of receiving the grant, |
