1.2 relating to transportation; appropriating money for certain transportation
1.3 management organizations in the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT
1.6ORGANIZATIONS; MINNEAPOLIS; ST. PAUL.
1.7 (a) $425,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $425,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.8the general fund to the commissioner of transportation for grants to the St. Paul
1.9Transportation Management Organization to provide programming, service expansion, and
1.10public education and information to support a reduction in vehicle miles traveled throughout
1.11the metropolitan area, including but not limited to staffing, communications, outreach,
1.12education program development, and operations management.
1.13 (b) $105,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $105,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.14the general fund to the commissioner of transportation for grants to the Downtown
1.15Minneapolis Transportation Management Organization to provide programming and service
1.16expansion, including but not limited to staffing, communications, outreach, education
1.17program development, and operations management.
1.18 (c) The commissioner must not retain any portion of the appropriations under this section
1.19and must make grant payments in full by July 1 of each year. The appropriations in
1.20paragraphs (a) and (b) are onetime appropriations.
