                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to veterans affairs; appropriating money for a grant to Every Third​
1.3 Saturday; requiring reports.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; EVERY THIRD SATURDAY.​
1.6 (a) $50,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $50,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
1.7the general fund to the commissioner of veterans affairs for a grant to Every Third Saturday​
1.8to provide veterans with emergency assistance. This is a onetime appropriation.​
1.9 (b) Every Third Saturday must report to the commissioner of veterans affairs and the​
1.10chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction over​
1.11veterans affairs policy and finance no later than September 1, 2026, and by September 1,​
1.122027. Each report must include, at a minimum, a detailed explanation of how the grant​
1.13money was used and the number of veterans served by the program.​
