55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 157.16, subdivision 3a, is amended to read:​
77 1.7 Subd. 3a.Statewide hospitality fee.Every person, firm, or corporation that operates a​
88 1.8licensed boarding establishment, food and beverage service establishment, seasonal temporary​
99 1.9or permanent food stand, special event food stand, mobile food unit, food cart, resort, hotel,​
1010 1.10motel, or lodging establishment in Minnesota must submit to the commissioner a $40 annual​
1111 1.11statewide hospitality fee for each licensed activity. The fee for establishments licensed by​
1212 1.12the Department of Health is required at the same time the licensure fee is due. For​
1313 1.13establishments licensed by local governments, the fee is due by July 1 of each year.​
1414 1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
