1.2 relating to education; providing notice if a student is left on a school bus; amending​
1.3 Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 123B.91, by adding a subdivision.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 123B.91, is amended by adding a subdivision​
1.6to read:​
1.7 Subd. 3.Student left on a bus; parent notification.If a student is left unattended on​
1.8a school bus after the completion of the bus route, the school district must notify the student's​
1.9parent or guardian and the Department of Education as soon as practicable. The Department​
1.10of Education must notify local law enforcement and the State Patrol within 24 hours of​
1.11receiving the report from the school district.​
