44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 145.423, subdivision 1, is amended to read:​
66 1.6 Subdivision 1.Recognition; medical care.An A born alive infant who is born alive as​
77 1.7a result of an abortion shall be fully recognized as a human person, and accorded immediate​
88 1.8protection under the law. All reasonable measures consistent with good medical practice,​
99 1.9including the compilation of appropriate medical records, shall be taken by the responsible​
1010 1.10medical personnel to care for the infant who is born alive preserve the life and health of the​
1111 1.11born alive infant.​
1212 1.12 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
