1.2 relating to energy; prohibiting bans by political subdivisions on certain natural gas​
1.3 or propane service to any building; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota​
1.4 Statutes, chapter 326.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. [326.441] BAN ON NATURAL GAS AND PROPANE HOOKUPS;​
1.7PROHIBITION.​
1.8 A political subdivision is prohibited from adopting an ordinance, resolution, code, policy,​
1.9or permit requirement that prohibits or has the effect of preventing a utility from (1)​
1.10connecting or reconnecting natural gas or propane to any building, or (2) supplying natural​
1.11gas or propane to any building or utility customer.​
1.12 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
