66 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
77 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 171.165, is amended by adding a subdivision​
88 1.8to read:​
99 1.9 Subd. 2a.Use of commercial motor vehicle in certain offenses; disqualification for​
1010 1.10life.The commissioner must disqualify a person from operating a commercial motor vehicle​
1111 1.11for life if the person uses a commercial motor vehicle in the commission of the following​
1212 1.12offenses:​
1313 1.13 (1) a felony violation involving the manufacture, distribution, or dispensing of a controlled​
1414 1.14substance, or possession with the intent to manufacture, distribute, or dispense a controlled​
1515 1.15substance under chapter 152; or​
1616 1.16 (2) a felony violation involving a forced or coerced labor or services or human​
1717 1.17trafficking-related offense under section 609.281, subdivision 4; 609.282; or 609.322,​
1818 1.18subdivision 1 or 1a.​
1919 1.19 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective August 1, 2025, and applies to offenses​
2020 1.20committed on or after that date.​
