1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to education finance; authorizing grants to improve students' digital 1.3 technology skills and support digital learning; requiring reports; appropriating 1.4 money. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS. 1.7 Subdivision 1.Department of Education.The sums indicated in this section are 1.8appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal years 1.9designated. 1.10 Subd. 2.Digital technology skills.(a) For a grant to a nonprofit organization to expand 1.11opportunities for high school students to develop digital technology skills: 2026.....250,0001.12 $ 2027.....250,0001.13 $ 1.14 (b) The grant recipient must use grant money to encourage student participation in a 1.15digital technology skills program, create student fellowships, provide hands-on opportunities, 1.16and develop a digital technology curriculum for its programming that can be shared and 1.17replicated by other programs.
