55 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CLEAN OUT AND REESTABLISH EARTHEN​

77 1.7 (a) $1,250,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the clean water fund to the Board​
88 1.8of Water and Soil Resources for grants in equal amounts to Fillmore, Goodhue, Houston,​
99 1.9Wabasha, and Winona Counties to clean out and reestablish upslope earthen dams and​
1010 1.10associated earthen flood protection storage structures.​
1111 1.11 (b) By October 1, 2026, a county that receives a grant under this section must report to​
1212 1.12the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction​
1313 1.13over environment and natural resources on the use of the grant.​
1414 1.14 (c) No portion of the appropriation in this section may be retained by the Board of Water​
1515 1.15and Soil Resources or a county to pay for administrative costs.​
