55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256.01, is amended by adding a subdivision​
77 1.7to read:​
88 1.8 Subd. 44.Notification of federal approval; report.(a) For any provision over which​
99 1.9the commissioner has jurisdiction and that has an effective date contingent upon federal​
1010 1.10approval, whether the contingency is expressed in an effective date, in the text of a statutory​
1111 1.11provision, or in the text of an uncodified section of session law, the commissioner must​
1212 1.12notify the revisor of statutes of which enacted provisions contain such contingent federal​
1313 1.13approval and when federal approval is obtained for any such provision according to​
1414 1.14paragraphs (b) and (c).​
1515 1.15 (b) By July 1 of each year, the commissioner must provide the revisor of statutes; the​
1616 1.16director of the House Research Department; and the director of Senate Counsel, Research​
1717 1.17and Fiscal Analysis with a report containing a complete list of all provisions enacted since​
1818 1.18the preceding July 1 with an effective date contingent on federal approval.​
1919 1.19 (c) By September 1 of each year, the commissioner must provide the revisor of statutes;​
2020 1.20the director of the House Research Department; and the director of Senate Counsel, Research​
2121 1.21and Fiscal Analysis with a report containing a complete list of all statutory provisions​
2222 1.22previously enacted with an effective date contingent on federal approval. The commissioner​
2323 1.23must identify in the report which, if any, provisions received federal approval since the​
2424 1​Section 1.​

3838 2.7 (e) An employee in the Department of Human Services who is responsible for identifying​
3939 2.8and tracking federal approval of provisions must attest to the accuracy of the reports in a​
4040 2.9manner prescribed by the revisor of statutes.​
4141 2.10 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
