44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.​
66 1.6 $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
77 1.7the workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic​
88 1.8development for a grant to the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC). Grant​
99 1.9proceeds may be used to assist, support, finance, and launch microentrepreneurs by delivering​
1010 1.10training, workshops, and one-on-one consultations to businesses as well as capacity building​
1111 1.11and general operations. Proceeds may also be used to assist prospective entrepreneurs in​
1212 1.12the start-up process by introducing prospective entrepreneurs to key business concepts,​
1313 1.13including business start-up readiness and innovating career pathways into trades, green​
1414 1.14lending, technology, coding, STEM careers, translation services, and manufacturing.​
