1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for airport parking solar array
1.3 and charging station in the city of Rochester; authorizing the sale and issuance of
1.4 state bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. ROCHESTER; ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PARKING
1.7SOLAR ARRAY AND ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS.
1.8 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$3,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund
1.9to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to the city of Rochester for predesign,
1.10design, engineering, site debris removal and pavement reconstruction, and construction of
1.11airport parking solar array and electric vehicle charging station at the Rochester International
1.12Airport. Amounts expended by the city of Rochester for predesign, design, and engineering
1.13for this project prior to the enactment of this section shall count toward the nonstate match.
1.14 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
1.15proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.16the state in an amount up to $3,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.17prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.18Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
