1.2 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for a grant to Art From​
1.3 the Inside to use the arts to address the needs of incarcerated persons and persons​

1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; ART FROM THE INSIDE.​
1.7 $150,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $150,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
1.8arts and cultural heritage fund to the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Humanities Center​
1.9for a grant to Art From the Inside to use the arts, including but not limited to visual art,​
1.10poetry, literature, theater, dance, and music, to address the supportive, therapeutic, and​
1.11rehabilitative needs of incarcerated persons and persons on supervised release and promote​
1.12a safer correctional facility and community environment.​
