1.1A Senate resolution1.2honoring Senator Mohammed Momolu Dukuly on his appointment by the 1.3President of Liberia to serve as Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.1.4WHEREAS, Senator Mohammed Momolu Dukuly is a distinguished diplomat, civic leader, 1.5and interfaith advocate with a wealth of experience in both the public sector and religious leadership 1.6and is a negotiator of superior skills with over three decades of service; and1.7WHEREAS, Senator Dukuly has made significant contributions to Liberia's political 1.8landscape, including his tenure as a Senior Senator of Bomi County, Liberia's Permanent 1.9Representative to the International Maritime Organization in the United Kingdom in London, and 1.10Special Envoy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and1.11WHEREAS, as an Imam and educator, Senator Dukuly has been at the forefront of advancing 1.12interfaith dialogues and cross-cultural understanding in Liberia, the United States, and the Middle 1.13East; and1.14WHEREAS, since 2014, Senator Dukuly has been Imam at the Masjid Al Ansar Islamic 1.15Community Center in Brooklyn Center. From 2005 to 2018, he was Imam at Masjid An-Nur in 1.16Minneapolis; and1.17WHEREAS, Senator Dukuly is a seasoned public speaker and thought leader, frequently 1.18engaging in high-level discussions on peace, justice, and social cohesion; and1.19WHEREAS, Senator Dukuly's proven record of leadership and advocacy, with numerous 1.20awards and recognitions, reflects a deep commitment to promoting peace and mutual respect among 1.21diverse communities; and1.22WHEREAS, Senator Dukuly brings a unique blend of diplomatic expertise, religious 1.23leadership, and passion for fostering global partnerships to his position as Liberia's Ambassador to 1.24the United Arab Emirates; and1.25NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it 1.26honors Senator Mohammed Momolu Dukuly for his many years of service and leadership here in 1.27Minnesota and throughout the world, and extends best wishes to him on his appointment to serve 1.28as an ambassador.1.29BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an 1.30enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the 1.31Co-Chairs of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Senator Mohammed 1.32Momolu Dukuly.
