These conditionsinclude: (1)Theproductmustbemashed,fermented,distilled,aged,and bottledintheOzarkHighlandsregion; (2)TheproductmustbeagedinbarrelsmanufacturedfromMissouri whiteoakgrowninorfromtheOzarkHighlands; (3)Thewatersourcemustbenonmunicipalwateranduntreatedwith chemicalsthatwouldharmthenaturallocalenvironmental conditionssuchassoilandtopographyandaffecttheendproduct; and (4)Theminimumageofwhiskeyisfouryears. Theproductmustbefurthercertified,bysealorothermeans,by theOzarkHighlandDistillersGuild.Forpurposesofthisbill, theDepartmentofNaturalResourcesshallproduceandpublishan officialmapofthe"OzarkHighlands"region.
