11 | 11 | | Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows: |
---|
12 | 12 | | Section A. Section 50.327, RS Mo, is repealed and one new 1 |
---|
13 | 13 | | section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 50.327, 2 |
---|
14 | 14 | | to read as follows:3 |
---|
15 | 15 | | 50.327. 1. Notwithstanding any other provisions of 1 |
---|
16 | 16 | | law to the contrary, the salary schedules contained in 2 |
---|
17 | 17 | | sections 49.082, 50.334, 50. 343, 51.281, 51.282, 52.269, 3 |
---|
18 | 18 | | 53.082, 53.083, 54.261, 54.320, 55.091, 56.265, 58.095, and 4 |
---|
19 | 19 | | 473.742 shall be set as a base schedule for those county 5 |
---|
20 | 20 | | officials. Except when it is necessary to increase newly 6 |
---|
21 | 21 | | elected or reelected county officials' salaries , in 7 |
---|
22 | 22 | | accordance with Section 13, Article VII, Constitution of 8 |
---|
23 | 23 | | Missouri, to comply with the requirements of this section, 9 |
---|
24 | 24 | | the salary commission in all counties except charter 10 |
---|
25 | 25 | | counties in this state shall be responsible for the 11 |
---|
26 | 26 | | computation of salaries o f all county officials; provided, 12 |
---|
27 | 27 | | however, that any percentage salary adjustments in a county 13 |
---|
28 | 28 | | shall be equal for all such officials in that county. 14 |
---|
29 | 29 | | 2. Upon majority approval of the salary commission, 15 |
---|
30 | 30 | | the annual compensation of part -time prosecutors contained 16 |
---|
31 | 31 | | in section 56.265 and the county offices contained in 17 |
---|
32 | 32 | | sections 49.082, 50.334, 50.343, 51.281, 51.282, 52.269, 18 SB 704 2 |
---|
33 | 33 | | 53.082, 53.083, 54.261, 54.320, 55.091, 58.095, and 473.742 19 |
---|
34 | 34 | | may be increased by up to two thousand dollars greater than 20 |
---|
35 | 35 | | the compensation provided by the salary schedules; provided, 21 |
---|
36 | 36 | | however, that any vote to increase compensation be effective 22 |
---|
37 | 37 | | for all county offices in that county subject to the salary 23 |
---|
38 | 38 | | commission. 24 |

39 | 39 | | 3. Upon the majority approval of the salary 25 |
---|
40 | 40 | | commission, the annual compensation of a county coroner of 26 |
---|
41 | 41 | | any county of the second classification as provided in 27 |
---|
42 | 42 | | section 58.095 may be increased up to fourteen thousand 28 |
---|
43 | 43 | | dollars greater than the compensation provided by the salary 29 |
---|
44 | 44 | | schedule of such section. 30 |
---|
45 | 45 | | 4. The salary commission of any county of the third 31 |
---|
46 | 46 | | classification may amend the base schedules for the 32 |
---|
47 | 47 | | computation of salaries for county officials referenced in 33 |
---|
48 | 48 | | subsection 1 of this section to include assessed valuation 34 |
---|
49 | 49 | | factors in excess of three hundred million dollars; provided 35 |
---|
50 | 50 | | that the percentage of any adjustments in assessed valuation 36 |
---|
51 | 51 | | factors shall be equal for all such officials in that county. 37 |
