11 | 11 | | Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows: |

12 | 12 | | Section A. Section 115.349, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1 |
---|
13 | 13 | | section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 115.349, 2 |
---|
14 | 14 | | to read as follows:3 |

15 | 15 | | 115.349. 1. Except as otherwise provided in sections 1 |
---|
16 | 16 | | 115.361 to 115.383 or sections 115.755 to 115 .785, no 2 |
---|
17 | 17 | | candidate's name shall be printed on any official primary 3 |
---|
18 | 18 | | ballot unless the candidate has filed a written declaration 4 |

19 | 19 | | of candidacy in the office of the appropriate election 5 |
---|
20 | 20 | | official by 5:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday in March 6 |

21 | 21 | | immediately preceding the primary election. 7 |

22 | 22 | | 2. No declaration of candidacy for nomination in a 8 |

23 | 23 | | primary election shall be accepted for filing prior to 8:00 9 |
