| 14 | 14 | | Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring therein: |

| 19 | 19 | | the qualified voters of this state, for adoption or 5 |

| 20 | 20 | | rejection, the follow ing amendment to article III of the 6 |

| 23 | 23 | | Missouri, is repealed and one new section adopted in lieu 2 |

| 24 | 24 | | thereof, to be known as section 50, to read as follows:3 |

| 25 | 25 | | Section 50. Initiative petitions proposing amendments 1 |

| 26 | 26 | | to the constitution shall be signed by eight percent of the 2 |

| 27 | 27 | | legal voters in each of two -thirds of the [congressional] 3 |

| 28 | 28 | | senate districts in the state, and petitions proposing laws 4 |

| 29 | 29 | | shall be signed by five percent of such voters. Every such 5 |

| 30 | 30 | | petition shall be filed with the secretary of state not less 6 |
