Thisbillestablishesthe"TransparencyonBoardsandCommissionsAct".ThebillrequirestheOffice
oftheGovernortomaintainandregularlyupdatealistofthename,cityorcountyofresidence,
andtermexpirationdateforeachmemberofastateboard,commission,committee,other
organization,andcouncilwithaGovernor-appointedmember.BeginningSeptember1,2023,
specifiedinformationregardinganyvacanciesandcurrentappointeesmustbedisplayedonthe
Governor'swebsite.
ThelistandtherequiredinformationmustbeapublicrecordundertheSunshineLaw;however,
theOfficeoftheGovernorortheOfficeofAdministrationwillbeexemptfromanyfinesor
monetarydamagesundertheprovisionsofthatbill.Anyrequiredproductionofthelistordisputes
aboutitsredactionmustbeenforcedonlybyinjunctiverelief.
TheOfficeoftheGovernormaydelegateresponsibilityforthemaintenanceofthelistandwebsite
totheOfficeofAdministration.
Theseprovisionswillnotprohibitanindividualfromcompletinghisorhertermofofficeasa
memberofastateboard,commission,committee,council,orotherorganizationorcreateany
privaterightofactionexceptfortheauthorizedinjunctiverelief.
