108 5.Subdivisions(3),(4),(5),(6),(7),(8),(9),and(10)ofsubsection1ofthissection
109shallnotapplytopersonswhoareengagedinalawfulactofdefensepursuanttosection

111 6.Notwithstandinganyprovisionofthissectiontothecontrary,thestateshallnot
112prohibitanystateemployeefromhavingafirearmintheemployee'svehicleonthestate's
113propertyprovidedthatthevehicleislockedandthefirearmisnotvisible.Thissubsection
114shallonlyapplytothestateasanemployerwhenthestateemployee'svehicleisonproperty
115ownedorleasedbythestateandthestateemployeeisconductingactivitieswithinthescope
116ofhisorheremployment.Forthepurposesofthissubsection,"stateemployee"meansan
117employeeoftheexecutive,legislative,orjudicialbranchofthegovernmentofthestateof
118Missouri.
119 7.Nothinginthissectionshallmakeitunlawfulforastudenttoactuallyparticipatein
120school-sanctionedgunsafetycourses,studentmilitaryorROTCcourses,orotherschool-
121sponsoredorclub-sponsoredfirearm-relatedevents,providedthestudentdoesnotcarrya
122firearmorotherweaponreadilycapableoflethaluseintoanyschool,ontoanyschoolbus,or
123ontothepremisesofanyotherfunctionoractivitysponsoredorsanctionedbyschoolofficials
124orthedistrictschoolboard.
125 8.Apersonwhocommitsthecrimeofunlawfuluseofweaponsunder:

571.101.1.Allapplicantsforconcealedcarrypermitsissuedpursuanttosubsection
27ofthissectionmustsatisfytherequirementsofsections571.101to571.121.Ifthesaid
3applicantcanshowqualificationasprovidedbysections571.101to571.121,thecountyor
4citysheriffshallissueaconcealedcarrypermitauthorizingthecarryingofaconcealed
5firearmonorabouttheapplicant'spersonorwithinavehicle.Aconcealedcarrypermitshall
6bevalidfromthedateofissuanceorrenewaluntilfiveyearsfromthelastdayofthemonthin
7whichthepermitwasissuedorrenewed.Theconcealedcarrypermitisvalidthroughoutthis
8state.Althoughthepermitisconsideredvalidinthestate,apersonwhofailstorenewhisor

10exceptiontoaNationalInstantCriminalBackgroundCheckunderfederalregulations
11currentlycodifiedunder27CFR478.102(d),relatingtothetransfer,sale,ordeliveryof
12firearmsfromlicenseddealers.AconcealedcarryendorsementissuedpriortoAugust28,
132013,shallcontinuefromthedateofissuanceorrenewaluntilthreeyearsfromthelastdayof
14themonthinwhichtheendorsementwasissuedorrenewedtoauthorizethecarryingofa
15concealedfirearmonorabouttheapplicant'spersonorwithinavehicleinthesamemanneras
16aconcealedcarrypermitissuedundersubsection7ofthissectiononorafterAugust28,2013.
17 2.Aconcealedcarrypermitissuedpursuanttosubsection7ofthissectionshallbe
18issuedbythesherifforhisorherdesigneeofthecountyorcityinwhichtheapplicantresides,
19iftheapplicant:
20 (1)IsapermanentresidentoftheUnitedStates,isatleast[nineteen] twenty-one
21yearsofage,[isacitizenorpermanentresidentoftheUnitedStates] andeither:
22 (a)Hasassumedresidencyinthisstate;or
23 (b)IsamemberoftheUnitedStatesArmedForcesstationedinMissouri[,] orthe
24spouseofsuchmemberofthemilitary;
25 (2)IsacitizenoftheUnitedStates,isatleast[nineteen] twenty-oneyearsofage[,]
26or[is]atleasteighteenyearsofageandamemberoftheUnitedStatesArmedForcesor
