SectionA.Section565.002,RSMo,isrepealedandtwonewsectionsenactedinlieu
2thereof,tobeknownassections537.551and565.002,toreadasfollows:
537.551.1.Forpurposesofthissection,"sportsofficials"shallmeanthose
2individualswhoserveasreferees,umpires,orlinesmenorthoseindividualswhoservein
3similarcapacitiesbutmaybeknownbyothertitlesandaredulyregisteredormembers
4ofalocal,state,regional,ornationalorganizationthatisengagedinpartinproviding
5educationandtrainingtosportsofficials.
6 2.Sportsofficialswhoofficiateathleticcontestsatanylevelofcompetitionin
7thisstateshallnotbeliabletoanypersonorentityinanycivilactionforinjuriesor
8damagesclaimedtohavearisenbyvirtueofactionsorinactionsrelatedinanymanner
9toofficiatingdutieswithintheconfinesoftheathleticfacilityatwhichtheathletic
10contestsareplayed.
11 3.Nothinginthissectionshallbedeemedtogranttheprotectionsetforthto
12sportsofficialswhocauseinjuryordamagetoapersonorentitybyactionsorinactions
13thatareintentional,willful,wanton,reckless,malicious,orgrosslynegligent.

59asasportsofficial,apersonshallbetrainedandcertifiedorregisteredassuchbyan
60organizationengagedintheeducation,training,andcertifyingorregisteringofsports

62 (15)"Suddenpassion",passiondirectlycausedbyandarisingoutofprovocationby
63thevictimoranotheractingwiththevictimwhichpassionarisesatthetimeoftheoffenseand
