WHEREAS,Section29.351oftheRevisedStatutesofMissouriprovidesthatduring
2theregularlegislativesessionwhichconvenesinanodd-numberedyear,theGeneral
3Assemblyshall,byconcurrentresolution,employanindependentcertifiedpublicaccountant
4orcertifiedpublicaccountingfirmtoconductanauditexaminationoftheaccounts,functions,
5programs,andmanagementoftheStateAuditor'soffice:

7 NOWTHEREFORE BEITRESOLVEDthatthemembersoftheHouseof
8RepresentativesoftheOneHundredSecondGeneralAssembly,FirstRegularSession,the
9Senateconcurringtherein,herebyauthorizetheemploymentofanindependentcertified
10publicaccountantorcertifiedpublicaccountingfirmpursuanttotheprovisionsofSection
1129.351;and

13 BEITFURTHERRESOLVEDthattheauditexaminationbemadeinaccordance
14withgenerallyacceptedauditingstandards,includingsuchreviewsandinspectionsofbooks,
15recordsandotherunderlyingdataanddocumentsasarenecessarytoenabletheindependent
16certifiedpublicaccountantperformingtheaudittoreachaninformedopiniononthe
17conditionandperformanceoftheaccounts,functions,programs,andmanagementoftheState
18Auditor'soffice;and

20 BEITFURTHERRESOLVEDthatuponcompletionoftheaudit,theindependent
21certifiedpublicaccountantmakeawrittenreportofhisorherfindingsandconclusions,and
22supplyeachmemberoftheGeneralAssembly,theGovernor,andtheStateAuditorwitha
23copyofthereport;and

25 BEITFURTHERRESOLVEDthatthecostoftheauditandreportbepaidoutof
26thejointcontingentfundoftheGeneralAssembly;and
27 28 BEITFURTHERRESOLVEDthattheCommissionerofAdministrationbidthese
29services,atthedirectionoftheGeneralAssembly,pursuanttostatepurchasinglaws;and

31 BEITFURTHERRESOLVEDthattheChiefClerkoftheMissouriHouseof
32Representativesbeinstructedtoprepareaproperlyinscribedcopyofthisresolutionforthe
33CommissionerofAdministration.
