SectionA.Chapter301,RSMo,isamendedbyaddingtheretoonenewsection,tobe
2knownassection301.285,toreadasfollows:
301.285.1.Priortorepairingorperformingmaintenanceonamotorvehicle,
2thepersonorbusinessperformingtherepairormaintenanceworkshallverifythatthe
3motorvehicle'sregistrationiscurrentundersection301.020.Ifthemotorvehicle
4registrationisnotcurrent,therepairsormaintenanceworkshallnotbeperformed.
5 2.Anypersonorbusinessthatfailstocomplywiththeprovisionsofsubsection1
6ofthissectionshallbesubjecttoapenaltyassessedbythedirectorofthedepartmentof
7revenue,nottoexceedthreehundreddollarsperviolation.
8 3.Theprovisionsofsubsections1and2ofthissectionshallnotapplyifthe
9motorvehicleisbeingrepairedtocomplywiththemotorvehiclesafetyinspection
