Currentlaw,whichisknownasthe"MissouriSaveAdolescentsfrom
Experimentation (SAFE)Act",prohibitstheprescriptionor
administration byahealthcareproviderofacross-sexhormoneor
puberty-blockingdrug,asdefinedinChapter191,RSMo,toany
individualunder18yearsofage.However,suchtreatmentsmaybe
prescribedoradministeredtoindividualsunder18yearsofageif
thatindividualhadbeenprescribedoradministeredsuchtreatment
beforetheenactmentoftheprohibition. Theprohibitionofsuch
treatmentssunsetsonAugust28,2027.
Thisbillrepealsboththeexceptionontheprohibitionof
individualspreviouslyprescribedeitherofthesetreatmentsand
thesunsetoftheprohibition.
