membersofthegeneralassemblytotheMissouriethicscommission.
BeitenactedbytheGeneralAssemblyofthestateofMissouri,asfollows:
SectionA.Chapter105,RSMo,isamendedbyaddingtheretoonenewsection,tobe
2knownassection105.984,toreadasfollows:
105.984.1.Asusedinthissection,theterm"employer"shallmeananyperson,
2firm,corporation,association,fiduciaryofanykind,orothertypeoforganizationfor
3whichanindividualperformsservice,includinganyfirm,corporation,association,
4fiduciaryofanykind,orothertypeoforganizationownedbysuchindividual.
5 2.Anymemberofthegeneralassemblywhofileslegislationthatwilldirectly
6benefittheiremployershalldisclosesuchinformationtotheMissouriethicscommission
7withinfifteendaysoffilingthelegislation.
8 3.TheMissouriethicscommissionshalldevelopamechanismforthereporting
9requirementsofsubsection2ofthissection.TheMissouriethicscommissionmay
10promulgateallnecessaryrulesandregulationsfortheadministrationofthissection.
11Anyruleorportionofarule,asthattermisdefinedinsection536.010,thatiscreated
12undertheauthoritydelegatedinthissectionshallbecomeeffectiveonlyifitcomplies
13withandissubjecttoalloftheprovisionsofchapter536and,ifapplicable,section
14536.028.Thissectionandchapter536arenonseverableandifanyofthepowersvested
15withthegeneralassemblypursuanttochapter536toreview,todelaytheeffectivedate,
16ortodisapproveandannularulearesubsequentlyheldunconstitutional,thenthegrant
EXPLANATION—Matterenclosedinbold-facedbrackets[thus] intheabovebillisnotenactedandis
intendedtobeomittedfromthelaw.Matterinbold-facetypeintheabovebillisproposedlanguage. 17ofrulemakingauthorityandanyruleproposedoradoptedafterAugust28,2024,shall
18beinvalidandvoid.
