Currently,theBoardofTrusteesofanyreorganizedcommonsewer
districtmaypetitionacircuitcourtforanamendeddecreeof
incorporationtoallowthedistricttooperatewatersupplyand
distributionfacilitiesthatserve10ormoreseparateproperties
inthedistrictandthatarenotservedbyanotherpolitical
subdivisionorlocatedwithinthecertificatedareaofawater
corporation. Thisbillstatesthatasewerdistrictmaypetitiona
circuitcourttooperatewatersupplyanddistributionfacilities
inanareanotservedbyanotherpoliticalsubdivisionwithinthe
certificatedareaofawatercorporation.
ThebillalsoauthorizestheBoardofTrusteesofareorganized
commonsewerdistrictandtheBoardofDirectorsofapublicwater
supplydistricttojointlypetitionacircuitcourttoamendthe
decreesofincorporationtoallowthedistrictstoconsolidatethe
watersupplydistrictintothereorganizedcommonsewerdistrict.
