SubmittingtothequalifiedvotersofMissourianamendmenttoArticleIVoftheConstitution
ofMissouri,byadoptingonenewsectionrelatingtostatedepartmentrevenuefrom
managementofstatenaturalresources.
BeitresolvedbytheHouseofRepresentatives,theSenateconcurringtherein:
ThatatthenextgeneralelectiontobeheldinthestateofMissouri,onTuesdaynext
2followingthefirstMondayinNovember,2024,orataspecialelectiontobecalledbythe
3governorforthatpurpose,thereisherebysubmittedtothequalifiedvotersofthisstate,for
4adoptionorrejection,thefollowingamendmenttoArticleIVoftheConstitutionofthestate
5ofMissouri:
SectionA.ArticleIV,ConstitutionofMissouri,isamendedbyadoptingonenew
2section,tobeknownasSection55,toreadasfollows:
Section55.1.Anydepartmentofthisstatethatreceivesanyprofitfromsuch
2department'smanagementofthenaturalresourcesofthisstateshallremitsomeportion
3orallofsuchprofittothecountyinwhichthenaturalresourcesarelocated,asprovided
4bygenerallaw.
5 2.Thegeneralassemblymayenactlawstoprovideforthemethodand
6proportionofanyremittancetoacountyrequiredundersubsection1ofthissection.
