Currently,civilactionsforchildhoodsexualabusemustbe
commencedwithin10yearsoftheplaintiffturning21orwithin
threeyearsofthedatetheplaintiffdiscoversorreasonably
shouldhavediscoveredthattheinjuryorillnesswascausedby
childhoodsexualabuse,whicheveroccurslater.Thisbillrepeals
thestatuteoflimitations,allowingtheactionstobecommencedat
anytime.
Theenactmentofthischangeiscontingentonthepassageofa
constitutional amendmentallowingretrospectivelawsforclaimsof
childhoodsexualabuse.
