41 4.Notransactionthatincludesadetachedcatalyticconvertershalloccuratany
42locationotherthanthefixedplaceofbusinessofthepurchaserorcollectorof,ordealerin,
43junk,scrapmetal,oranysecondhandproperty.Nodetachedcatalyticconvertershallbe
44altered,modified,disassembled,ordestroyeduntilithasbeeninthepurchaser's,collector's,
45ordealer'spossessionforfivebusinessdays.
46 5.Anyone[licensedundersection301.218whoknowinglypurchasesastolen
47detachedcatalyticconvertershallbesubjecttothefollowingpenalties:
48 (1)Forafirstviolation,afineintheamountoffivethousanddollars;
49 (2)Forasecondviolation,afineintheamountoftenthousanddollars;and

51beguiltyofaclassEfelonyandshallbesubjecttohavinganylicenseforabusiness

53 6.Thissectionshallnotapplyto[eitherof]thefollowingtransactions:
54 (1)Anytransactionforwhichthesellerhasanexistingbusinessrelationshipwiththe
55scrapmetaldealerandisknowntothescrapmetaldealermakingthepurchasetobean
56establishedbusinessorpoliticalsubdivisionthatoperatesabusinesswithafixedlocationthat
57canbereasonablyexpectedtogenerateregulatedscrapmetalandcanbereasonablyidentified
58assuchabusiness,andforwhichthesellerispaidbycheckorbyelectronicfundstransfer,or
59thesellerproducesanacceptableidentification,whichshallbeacopyofthedriver'slicense
60orphotoidentificationissuedbythestateorbytheUnitedStatesgovernmentoragency
61thereof,andacopyisretainedbythepurchaser;or
62 (2)Anytransactionforwhichthetypeofmetalsubjecttosubsection1ofthissection

68usedasanemissionscontroldevicewhenconnectedtoaninternalcombustionengine,
69includingtheconstituentpartsofsuchadevice,whetherassembledintoacompleteunit
70ordisassembledintoseparateconstituentpartsorcomponents.
570.030.1.Apersoncommitstheoffenseofstealingifheorshe:
2 (1)Appropriatespropertyorservicesofanotherwiththepurposetodeprivehimor
3herthereof,eitherwithouthisorherconsentorbymeansofdeceitorcoercion;
4 (2)Attemptstoappropriateanhydrousammoniaorliquidnitrogenofanotherwiththe
5purposetodeprivehimorherthereof,eitherwithouthisorherconsentorbymeansofdeceit
6orcoercion;[or]
7 (3)Forthepurposeofdeprivingtheownerofalawfulinteresttherein,receives,

14 2.TheoffenseofstealingisaclassAfelonyifthepropertyappropriatedconsistsof
15anyofthefollowingcontaininganyamountofanhydrousammonia:atanktruck,tanktrailer,
16railtankcar,bulkstoragetank,fieldnurse,fieldtankorfieldapplicator.

18 (1)Thepropertyappropriatedorattemptedtobeappropriatedconsistsofanyamount
19ofanhydrousammoniaorliquidnitrogen;
20 (2)Thepropertyconsistsofanyanimalconsideredlivestockasthetermlivestockis
21definedinsection144.010,oranycaptivewildlifeheldunderpermitissuedbythe
22conservationcommission,andthevalueoftheanimaloranimalsappropriatedexceedsthree
