BeitenactedbytheGeneralAssemblyofthestateofMissouri,asfollows:
SectionA.Sections192.260and205.100,RSMo,arerepealedandtwonewsections
2enactedinlieuthereof,tobeknownassections192.260and205.100,toreadasfollows:
192.260.Thecountycommissionsoftheseveralcountiesofthisstatemayappointa
2dulylicensedqualifiedphysicianasacountyhealthofficerforatermofoneyear,andinthe
3eventavacancyiscreatedintheofficeofthecountyhealthofficer,suchcommissionmay
4appointadulylicensedqualifiedphysicianfortheunexpiredterm.Iftheincumbentcounty
5healthofficershallnotbereappointed,thecountycommissionmayappointaninterim
6countyhealthofficeruntilthevacancyisfilled.Ifthecountycommissionofanycounty
7decidestoappointacountyhealthofficerasempoweredinthislaw,itshallagreewiththe
8officerastothecompensationandexpensestobepaidforsuchservice,whichamountshall
9bepaidoutofthecountytreasuryofthecounty.Nothingcontainedhereinshallbeconstrued
10torequirethecountycommissionofanycountytoappointacountyhealthofficerinany
11county.
205.100.ThecountycommissionorcommissionsshallannuallyattheirFebruary
2meeting,appointthedirectorofthepublichealthcenterascountyhealthofficer[andsuch].
3Intheeventavacancyiscreatedintheofficeofthecountyhealthofficerorthe
4incumbentcountyhealthofficerisnotreappointed,thecountycommissionmayappoint
5aninterimcountyhealthofficeruntilthevacancyisfilled.Thecountyhealthofficershall
6exercisealloftherightsandperformallofthedutiespertainingtothatofficeassetforward
