8787 73 8.Thedivisionshalluseallproperdiligencetodisposeofthebalanceofmoney
8888 74accumulatedinthechild'saccountwhenthechildisreleasedfromthecareandcustodyofthe
8989 75divisionorthechilddies.Whenthechildisdeceasedthebalanceshallbedisposedofas
9090 76providedbylawfordescentanddistribution.If,afterthedivisionhasdiligentlyusedsuch
9191 77methodsandmeansasconsideredreasonabletorefundsuchfunds,thereshallremainany
9292 78money,theownerofwhichisunknowntothedivision,orifknown,cannotbelocatedbythe
9393 79division,ineachandeverysuchinstancesuchmoneyshallescheatandvestinthestateof
9494 80Missouri,andthedirectorandofficialsofthedivisionshallpaythesametothestatedirector
9595 81ofthedepartmentofrevenue,takingareceipttherefor,whoshalldepositthemoneyinthe
9696 82statetreasurytobecreditedtoafundtobedesignatedas"escheat".
9797 83 9.Withinfiveyearsaftermoneyhasbeenpaidintothestatetreasury,anypersonwho
9898 84appearsandclaimsthemoneymayfileapetitioninthecircuitcourtofColeCounty,
9999 85Missouri,statingthenatureoftheclaimandprayingthatsuchmoneybepaidtohim.Acopy
