4thereof,asdetermined,atitsdiscretion,bytheboard.

intendedtobeomittedfromthelaw.Matterinbold-facetypeintheabovebillisproposedlanguage. 14studentregistrantmayassist,underthedirectsupervisionofanembalmerlicensed
15underthischapter,inanestablishmentlicensedunderthischapter.Practicumstudent
16registrantsshallnotassistwhennotundersuchsupervision.Eachpracticumstudent
17registrantisauthorizedtoworkonlyatthelocationorlocationsregisteredwiththe
18boardandunderonlythosesupervisorsregisteredwiththeboard.
19 [3.Eachapplicantforalicensetopracticeembalmingshallfurnishevidenceto
20establishtothesatisfactionoftheboardthatheorshe:
21 (1)Isatleasteighteenyearsofage,andpossessesahighschooldiploma,ageneral
22equivalencydiploma,orequivalentthereof,asdetermined,atitsdiscretion,bytheboard;
23 (2)HascompletedafuneralserviceeducationprogramaccreditedbytheAmerican
24BoardofFuneralServiceEducation,anysuccessororganization,orotheraccreditingentityas
25approvedbytheboard.Ifanapplicantdoesnotcompleteallrequirementsforlicensure
26withinfiveyearsfromthedateofhisorhercompletionofanaccreditedprogram,hisorher
27registrationasanapprenticeembalmershallbeautomaticallycancelled.Theapplicantshall

35Boards.Ifanyapplicantfailstopassthestateexamination,heorshemayretakethe
36examinationatthenextregularexaminationmeeting.Theapplicantshallnotifytheboard
37officeofhisorherdesiretoretaketheexaminationatleastthirtydayspriortothedateofthe

76Thelicensedembalmershallinspectallbodiesembalmedbytheapprenticeembalmer.
77 3.Uponwrittenrequesttotheboard,anypersonlicensedunderthissection
78may,athisorherelection,atanytime,sitfortheNationalBoardExamination-Arts
79administeredbytheInternationalConferenceofFuneralServiceExaminingBoards,
80anysuccessororganization,orotherorganizationapprovedbytheboardifsuchperson
81hasnotpreviouslypassedsuchexamination.
82 4.Iftheapplicantdoesnotcompletetheapplicationprocesswithinthefiveyears
83afterhisorhercompletionofanapprovedprogram,thenheorshemustfileanewapplication
84andnofeespaidpreviouslyshallapplytowardthelicensefee.

94 [7.Theboardshall,uponrequest,waiveanyrequirementofthischapterandissuea
95temporaryfuneraldirector'slicense,validforsixmonths,tothesurvivingspouseornextof
96kinorthepersonalrepresentativeofalicensedfuneraldirector,ortothespouse,nextofkin,
97employeeorconservatorofalicensedfuneraldirectordisabledbecauseofsickness,mental
98incapacityorinjury.]
333.042.1.[Everypersondesiringtoentertheprofessionoffuneraldirectinginthis
2stateshallmakeapplicationwiththestateboardofembalmersandfuneraldirectorsandpay
3thecurrentapplicationandexaminationfees.Exceptasotherwiseprovidedinsection41.950,
4applicantsnotentitledtoalicensepursuanttosection333.051or324.009shallservean
5apprenticeshipforatleasttwelveconsecutivemonthsinafuneralestablishmentlicensedfor
6thecareandpreparationforburialandtransportationofthehumandeadinthisstateorin
7anotherstatewhichhasestablishedstandardsforadmissiontopracticefuneraldirectingequal
8to,ormorestringentthan,therequirementsforadmissiontopracticefuneraldirectinginthis
9state.Theapplicantshalldevoteatleastfifteenhoursperweektohisorherdutiesasan
10apprenticeunderthesupervisionofaMissourilicensedfuneraldirector.Suchapplicantshall
11submitprooftotheboard,onformsprovidedbytheboard,thattheapplicanthasarrangedand
12conductedtenfuneralservicesduringtheapplicant'sapprenticeshipunderthesupervisionofa
13Missourilicensedfuneraldirector.Uponcompletionoftheapprenticeship,theapplicantshall
14appearbeforetheboardtobetestedontheapplicant'slegalandpracticalknowledgeof
15funeraldirecting,funeralhomelicensing,preneedfuneralcontractsandthecare,custody,
16shelter,dispositionandtransportationofdeadhumanbodies.Uponacceptanceofthe
17applicationandfeesbytheboard,anapplicantshallhavetwenty-fourmonthstosuccessfully
18completetherequirementsforlicensurefoundinthissectionortheapplicationforlicensure
19shallbecancelled.
20 2.Ifapersonappliesforalimitedlicensetoworkonlyinafuneralestablishment
21whichislicensedonlyforcremation,includingtransportationofdeadhumanbodiestoand
22fromthefuneralestablishment,heorsheshallmakeapplication,paythecurrentapplication
23andexaminationfeeandsuccessfullycompletetheMissourilawexamination.Heorshe

25sectionandthepracticalexaminationbeforetheboard.Ifapersonhasalimitedlicense
26issuedpursuanttothissubsection,heorshemayobtainafullfuneraldirector'slicenseifheor
27shefulfillstheapprenticeshipandsuccessfullycompletesthefuneraldirectorpractical
28examination.
29 3.IfanindividualisaMissourilicensedembalmerorhascompletedaprogram
30accreditedbytheAmericanBoardofFuneralServiceEducation,anysuccessororganization,
31orotheraccreditingentityasapprovedbytheboardorhassuccessfullycompletedacourseof
32studyinfuneraldirectingofferedbyaninstitutionaccreditedbyarecognizednational,
33regionalorstateaccreditingbodyandapprovedbythestateboardofembalmersandfuneral
34directors,anddesirestoentertheprofessionoffuneraldirectinginthisstate,theindividual
35shallcomplywithalltherequirementsforlicensureasafuneraldirectorpursuantto
36subsection1ofsection333.041andsubsection1ofthissection;however,theindividualis
37exemptfromthetwelve-monthapprenticeshiprequiredbysubsection1ofthissection.]
38Exceptasotherwiseprovidedinthissection,anapplicantforafuneraldirectorlicense
39notentitledtoalicenseundersection333.051or324.009shallmakeapplicationforan

81 3.AnylicensedfuneraldirectorwhohasnotpreviouslysatfortheNational

84 4.Apersonmayapplyforalimitedlicensetoworkonlyinafuneral
85establishmentlicensedforcremation.Apersonholdingalimitedfuneraldirector

87directorlicense,anapplicantshallbeeighteenyearsofageorolderandshallmake

91 5.Theboardshall,atitsdiscretionanduponwrittenrequest,waiveindividual
92funeraldirectorlicensurerequirementsforuptosixmonthsifthereisanabsenceofa
93funeraldirectorinchargeduetothedeathordisabilityofthelicensedfuneraldirector
94andthereisnootherlicensedfuneraldirectoravailabletodischargethedirector's
95duties.Awaiverunderthissubsectionshallallowthespouse,nextofkin,personal
96representative,orconservatoroftheabsentdirectortoconductbusinessuntilalicensed
97funeraldirectorcanbeobtainedorbusinessarrangementsaremadetocloseorsellthe

48 3.Thecommitteeshallissuealicensetoeachpersonwhofilesanapplicationandfee
49asrequiredbytheprovisionsofsections337.600to337.689andwhofurnishesevidence
50satisfactorytothecommitteethattheapplicanthascompliedwiththeprovisionsof
51subdivisions(1)to(4)ofsubsection1ofthissectionorwiththeprovisionsofsubsection2of
52thissection.
345.050.Tobeeligibleforlicensurebytheboardbyexamination,eachapplicant
2shallsubmittheapplicationfeeandshallfurnishevidenceofsuchperson'scurrent

11Speech-Language-HearingAssociationorotheraccreditingagencyapprovedbytheboard;
12 (3)Presentwrittenevidenceofcompletionofaclinicalfellowshipfromsupervisors.
13Theexperiencerequiredbythissubdivisionshallfollowthecompletionoftherequirements
14ofsubdivisions(1)and(2)ofthissection.Thisperiodofemploymentshallbeunderthe
