ThisbillextendsFederalprotectionsoftheServicemembers Civil
ReliefAct(SCRA)currentlyinFederallawforFederal
servicemembers tomembersoftheMissouriNationalGuardwhoare
calledtoactivestatedutybytheGovernorandanyMissouri
employeeswhoaremembersoftheNationalGuardofanotherstate
andarecalledtoactivestatedutybytheGovernorofthatstate,
uponbeingrelievedofsuchduty.
ThebillrequirestheDepartmentofLaborandIndustrialRelations
tomakeavailableanotice,whicheveryemployerwillpostin
employmentestablishments, thatcoverscertainemploymentrights,
reemploymentrights,andcivilreliefrightsthatapplytomembers
oftheMissouriNationalGuard.
ThisbillallowsmembersoftheMissouriNationalGuardorany
MissouriemployeewhoisamemberoftheNationalGuardofanother
statewhobelieveshisorherrightshavebeenviolatedtobring
suitinanycourtofcompetentjurisdictionandappropriatevenue.
TheofficeoftheAttorneyGeneralmayalsobringsuitagainstan
employerwhoviolatestheprovisionsofthisbill.
