Currently,membersoftheGeneralAssemblycanservenomorethan
eightyearstotalinanyonechamberofthelegislature,normore
than16totalinbothchambers.
BeginningDecember5,2030,uponvoterapproval,this
constitutional amendmentwouldremovethesinglechamber
prohibition,allowingmembersoftheGeneralAssemblytoserveno
morethan16yearstotalineitherchamberofthelegislature.
Theresolutionalsoprohibitsanypersonfromservingmorethan
threetermsasSpeakeroftheHouseofRepresentatives andmore
thantwotermsasPresidentProTemoftheSenate.
