WHEREAS,theMissouriGeneralAssemblyhasalongtraditionofrendering
2assistancetothoseprogramsaimedatdevelopingqualitiesofcitizenshipandleadership
3withinouryouth;and

5 WHEREAS,theMissouriGirlsStateprogramoftheAmericanLegionAuxiliaryhas
6earnedconsiderablerecognitionforitssuccessinprovidingyoungwomenwithuniqueand
7valuableinsightsintotheprocessofdemocraticgovernmentthroughaformatofdirectrole-
8playingexperience;and

10 WHEREAS,duringJune2025,theAmericanLegionAuxiliary,Departmentof
11Missouri,isconductingtheEighty-thirdAnnualSessionofMissouriGirlsState;and

13 WHEREAS,animportanthighlightofthiseventistheconductingofamock
14legislativesessionintheHouseChamberattheStateCapitolwhereparticipantswillgatherto
15gainamorerealisticinsightintoofficialgovernmentalandelectoralproceedings:

17 NOWTHEREFORE BEITRESOLVEDthatwe,themembersoftheMissouri
18HouseofRepresentatives,OneHundredThirdGeneralAssembly,herebygranttheadult
19leadersandparticipantsoftheEighty-thirdSessionoftheMissouriGirlsStatepermissionto
20usetheHouseChamberforthepurposeofconductingamocklegislativesessionon
21Thursday,June26,2025,from8:00a.m.to5:00p.m.

23 BEITFURTHERRESOLVEDthatthesponsorofthisHouseResolution,
24RepresentativeMarlonAnderson,orhisdesignee,shallbepresentintheHouseChamberand
25shallassumeresponsibilityforthegroup'sactionsforthedurationoftheaforementioned
