39hasengagedin,allowed,orfailedtosufficientlyprohibitantisemiticdiscriminationor
40harassment,thestateboardofeducationshallnotify,inwriting,theeducational

30textureorprotectivehairstyle,ifthatprotectivehairstyleortextureiscommonly
31associatedwithaparticularraceororigin,inanyprogramoractivityconductedbyan

33pupilswhoreceivestatestudentfinancialaid;provided,however,thatsuchinstitution

35safetypurposesinanycareerandtechnicaltrainingcourseorclasstocomplywith
36safetyregulationsandstandardsofthecourseorclassthroughoutthedurationofthe
37courseorclass.
38 4.Theprovisionsofsubsection3ofthissectionshallnotapplytoaneducational
39institutionthatiscontrolledbyareligiousorganizationiftheapplicationofsuch
40provisionwouldnotbeconsistentwiththereligioustenetsofthatorganization.
160.231.1.Asusedinthissection,thefollowingtermsmean:
2 (1)"Multiple-occupancyrestroomorchangingarea",anareainaprivateschool
3buildingdesignedordesignatedtobeusedbymorethanoneindividualatatimeand
4whereindividualsmaybeinvariousstagesofundressinthepresenceofother
5individuals.Thetermincludes,butisnotlimitedto,aschoolrestroom,lockerroom,
6changingroom,orshowerroom;
7 (2)"Sex",thephysicalconditionofbeingmaleorfemalebasedongeneticsand
8physiologyasidentifiedontheindividual'soriginalbirthcertificate.
9 2.Aprivateschoolthatservesstudentsinprekindergartentogradetwelveshall
10notbecivillyliableforestablishing,toensureprivacyandsafety,oneormoremultiple-
11occupancyrestroomsorchangingareasdesignatedasfollows:

4state'sonlypublicresearchuniversity[andtheexclusivegrantorofresearchdoctorates]. As

8caseofnonresearchdoctoraldegreesinalliedhealthprofessions,aninstitutionmaybe
9authorizedtooffersuchdegreeindependentlyifofferingitincollaborationwithanother
10institutionwouldnotincreasethequalityoftheprogramorallowittobedeliveredmore
11efficiently.Suchboardsshallhavethepowerandauthoritytoconferdegreesinengineering
12onlyincollaborationwiththeUniversityofMissouri,providedthatsuchcollaborative
13agreementsareapprovedbythegoverningboardofeachinstitutionandthatintheseinstances
14theUniversityofMissouriwillbethedegree-grantinginstitution.ShouldtheUniversityof
15Missourideclinetocollaborateintheofferingofsuchprograms,oneoftheseinstitutionsmay
16seekapprovaloftheprogramthroughthecoordinatingboardforhighereducation's
17comprehensivereviewprocesswhendoingsowouldnotunnecessarilyduplicateanexisting
18program,collaborationisnotfeasibleoraviablemeansofmeetingtheneedsofstudentsand
19employers,andtheinstitutionhastheacademicandfinancialcapacitytooffertheprogramin
20ahigh-qualitymanner.
21 2.Notwithstandingsection172.280andsection174.225,theboardofgovernors
22ofMissouriStateUniversityshallhavethepowerandauthoritytograntdoctorof
23philosophydegreesindisciplinesotherthanengineeringandtograntbachelorsof
24sciencedegreesinveterinarytechnology.
178.786.1.Thecoordinatingboardforhighereducation,withtheassistanceofan
2advisorycommitteecomposedofrepresentativesfromeachpubliccommunitycollegeinthis
3stateandeachpublicfour-yearinstitutionofhighereducation,shalldeveloparecommended
4lowerdivisioncorecurriculumofforty-twosemestercredithours,includingastatementof
5thecontent,componentareas,andobjectivesofthecorecurriculum.Amajorityofthe
6membersoftheadvisorycommitteeshallbefacultymembersfromMissouripublic
7institutionsofhighereducation.
8 2.Thecoordinatingboardshallapproveacommoncoursenumberingequivalency
9matrixfortheforty-twocredithourblockatallinstitutionsofhighereducationinthestateto
10facilitatethetransferofthosecoursesamonginstitutionsofhighereducationbypromoting
11consistencyincoursedesignationandcourseidentification.Eachcommunitycollegeand
12four-yearinstitutionofhighereducationshallincludeinitscourselistingstheapplicable

15 3.Thecoordinatingboardshallcompletetherequirementsofsubsections1and2of

17recommendationsforthe2018-19academicyearforallpublicinstitutionsofhigher
18education.
19 4.(1)Thecoordinatingboard,withtheassistanceofanadvisorycommittee
20composedofrepresentativesfromeachpubliccommunitycollegeinthisstateandeach
21publicfour-yearinstitutionofhighereducationinthisstate,shallapproveasixty-credit-
22hour,transferable,lower-divisioncoursecurriculumandacommoncoursenumbering
23equivalencymatrixforthefollowingdegreeprograms:
24 (a)Generalbusiness;
25 (b)Elementaryeducationandteaching;
26 (c)Generalpsychology;
27 (d)Registerednursing;and
28 (e)Generalbiologyorbiologicalscience,orboth.

30facilitatethetransferofcoursesthatarepartofsuchcurriculumamongpublic
