AN ACT
To amend chapter 537, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to public safety.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 537, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto 1
one new section, t o be known as section 537.038, to read as 2
follows:3
537.038. Any person may, without compensation, render 1
emergency care or assistance at the scene of an emergency or 2
accident and shall not be liable for any civil damages for 3
acts or omissions oth er than damages occasioned by gross 4
negligence or by willful or wanton acts or omissions by such 5
person in rendering such emergency care. 6
