88 To amend chapter 1, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to daylight saving time.

1010 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
1111 Section A. Chapter 1, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto 1
1212 one new section , to be known as section 1.355, to read as 2
1313 follows:3
1414 1.355. 1. There is hereby established the "Daylight 1
1515 Saving as New Standard Time Pact" consisting of this state 2
1616 and any other state desiring to permanently change daylight 3
1717 saving time to a new s tandard time. 4
1818 2. The state of Missouri hereby exempts all areas of 5
1919 the state from the daylight saving time provisions of 15 6
2020 U.S.C. Section 260a, as amended. 7
2121 3. On the effective date of this section, Missouri 8
2222 will switch clocks to daylight sa ving time for the last time 9
2323 and daylight saving time will be eliminated. The time 10
2424 formerly known as daylight saving time will become standard 11
2525 time. After this time, Missouri will no longer observe 12
2626 daylight saving time. 13
2727 4. Notwithstanding the pr ovisions of subsections 2 and 14
2828 3 of this section to the contrary: 15
2929 (1) If the federal government enforces the provisions 16
3030 of 15 U.S.C. Section 260a, the state of Missouri and all 17
3131 political subdivisions thereof shall observe standard time; 18

3333 (2) If the federal government adopts daylight saving 20
3434 time as the new standard time, the state of Missouri shall 21
3535 set clocks to conform with the new standard time. 22
