1010 To repeal section 193.245, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the

1313 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
1414 Section A. Section 193.245, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1
1515 section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 193.245, 2
1616 to read as follows:3
1717 193.245. It shall be unlawful for any person to permit 1
1818 inspection of, or to disclose information contained in, 2
1919 vital records or to copy or issue a copy of all or part of 3
2020 any such record except as authorized by this law and by 4
2121 regulation or by order of a court of comp etent jurisdiction 5
2222 or in the following situations: 6
2323 (1) [A listing of persons who are born or who die on a 7
2424 particular date may be disclosed upon request, but no 8
2525 information from the record other than the name and the date 9
2626 of such birth or death sh all be disclosed; 10
2727 (2)] The department may authorize the disclosure of 11
2828 information contained in vital records for legitimate 12
2929 research purposes; 13
3030 [(3)] (2) To a qualified applicant as provided in 14
3131 section 193.255; 15
3232 [(4)] (3) Copies of death records over fifty years old 16
