1010 To repeal section 190.800, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the
1111 ground ambulance service reimbursement allowance.

1313 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
1414 Section A. Section 190.800, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1
1515 section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 190.800, 2
1616 to read as follows:3
1717 190.800. 1. Each ground ambulance service, except for 1
1818 any ambulance service owned and operated by [an entity owned 2
1919 and operated by the state of Missouri, including but not 3
2020 limited to any hospital owned or operated by the board of 4
2121 curators, as defined in chapter 172, or ] any department of 5
2222 the state, shall, in addition to all other fees and taxes 6
2323 now required or paid, pay an ambulance service reimbursement 7
2424 allowance tax for the privilege of engaging in the business 8
2525 of providing ambulance services in this state. 9
2626 2. For the purpose of this section, the following 10
2727 terms shall mean: 11
2828 (1) "Ambulance", the same meaning as such term is 12
2929 defined in section 190.100; 13
3030 (2) "Ambulance service", the same meaning as such term 14
3131 is defined in section 190.100; 15
3232 (3) "Engaging in the business of providing ambulance 16
3333 services in this state", accepting payment for such services. 17
