| 13 | 13 | | Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows: |

| 14 | 14 | | Section A. Section 190.800, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 190.800, 2 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | to read as follows:3 |

| 17 | 17 | | 190.800. 1. Each ground ambulance service, except for 1 |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | any ambulance service owned and operated by [an entity owned 2 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and operated by the state of Missouri, including but not 3 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | limited to any hospital owned or operated by the board of 4 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | curators, as defined in chapter 172, or ] any department of 5 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the state, shall, in addition to all other fees and taxes 6 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | now required or paid, pay an ambulance service reimbursement 7 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | allowance tax for the privilege of engaging in the business 8 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of providing ambulance services in this state. 9 |

| 26 | 26 | | 2. For the purpose of this section, the following 10 |

| 27 | 27 | | terms shall mean: 11 |

| 28 | 28 | | (1) "Ambulance", the same meaning as such term is 12 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | defined in section 190.100; 13 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (2) "Ambulance service", the same meaning as such term 14 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | is defined in section 190.100; 15 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | (3) "Engaging in the business of providing ambulance 16 |
|---|
