1010 To repeal section 162.821, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to school

1313 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
1414 Section A. Section 162.821, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1
1515 section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 162.821, 2
1616 to read as follows:3
1717 162.821. The district secretary shall keep a record of 1
1818 the proceedings of all annual and special elections of the 2
1919 voters of the district and of the proceedings of the board 3
2020 of education. He shall make copies of the election notices, 4
2121 contracts with teachers, certificates an d all other papers 5
2222 relating to the business of the district, and securely keep 6
2323 the same. He shall maintain a correct plat of the district 7
2424 and shall promptly notify the department of elementary and 8
2525 secondary education and the county clerk of each count y 9
2626 affected of all changes in the boundaries of the district. 10
2727 He shall transmit to the county commission and to the state 11
2828 department of elementary and secondary education, on or 12
2929 before the fifteenth day of August in each year, a report 13
3030 embracing the following items: 14
3131 (1) The number of children, male and female, attending 15
3232 the public schools during the year; 16
3333 (2) Total number of days' attendance by all such 17
3434 children; 18
3535 (3) The number of days the public schools of the 19
3636 district have been m aintained during the school year; 20 SB 793 2
3737 (4) The number of teachers employed, male and female, 21
3838 and the wages per month of each; 22
3939 (5) Estimated value of school property owned and 23
4040 managed by the district; 24
4141 (6) Assessed valuation of the district; 25
4242 (7) Rate of school tax on the assessed valuation of 26
4343 the district; 27
4444 (8) Cash on hand at the beginning of the year; 28
4545 (9) Tuition fees received and credited to the 29
4646 teachers' fund of the district; 30
4747 (10) Public funds received by county tre asurer; 31
4848 (11) District tax received by county (or township) 32
4949 treasurer; 33
5050 (12) Amount paid on teachers' wages; 34
5151 (13) Amount paid for incidental expenses; 35
5252 (14) Amount expended for purchasing site, erecting 36
5353 schoolhouses, rent and repairs ; 37
5454 (15) Amount expended in cancelling bonded indebtedness 38
5555 and paying interest on same; 39
5656 (16) Amount expended for library; 40
5757 (17) Amount expended for legal services. If the 41
5858 report does not include the amount expended for legal 42
5959 services, then the attorney general may investigate the 43
6060 violation of this subdivision and may bring a civil action, 44
6161 including an action for injunctive relief, against the 45
6262 school district. Such action shall be brought in the county 46
6363 where the school district is loc ated; 47
6464 (18) Cash on hand at the end of the year; 48

6666 by the state board of education. 50
