| 14 | 14 | | in November, 2026, or at a special election to be called by 3 |

| 15 | 15 | | the governor for that purpose, there is he reby submitted to 4 |

| 16 | 16 | | the qualified voters of this state, for adoption or 5 |

| 17 | 17 | | rejection, the following amendment to article I of the 6 |

| 18 | 18 | | Constitution of the state of Missouri:7 |

| 19 | 19 | | Section A. Article I, Constitution of Missouri, is amended 1 |

| 20 | 20 | | by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 36(a), 2 |

| 21 | 21 | | to read as follows:3 |

| 22 | 22 | | Section 36(a). 1. Notwithstanding any provision of 1 |

| 23 | 23 | | section 36 of article I of this Constitution to the 2 |

| 24 | 24 | | contrary, no gender transition procedure shall be performed 3 |

| 25 | 25 | | upon a child under eighteen years of age. 4 |
